At Westside Pediatrics we offer a variety of payment options. Each doctor has a different relationship with insurance companies so it is important that you understand and are comfortable with our billing policies. Dr. Lawrence Kagan and Dr. Dorothy Klein are out of network providers. They are fee-for-service and are not contracted with any insurance company. Payments are to be paid in full at the time of each visit. A fee schedule is available upon request. As a courtesy to our clients and to maximize your reimbursement, Westside Pediatrics will submit your insurance claim for you. For out of network care we do not verify insurance coverage and assume the insurance information you provide is accurate. Reimbursements will come directly to you from your insurance carrier based on your plans out of network coverage and deductible. We do not bill secondary policies.

 

Dr. Emily Bruckner Krasnow, Dr. Caitlin Colvard and Dr. Jessica Zak accept most major PPO insurance plans. While insurance covers many of the services we provide at Westside Pediatrics, coverage is not comprehensive. As such, we ask that our in network patients pay a small annual administration fee to cover the many services we happily provide but for which we are not fully compensated. These include, but are not limited to, 24/7 phone and email access to the doctor who knows you and your family, same day sick visits with your doctor, use of advanced minimally invasive diagnostic testing technology, 100% thimerosal free, single dose vial vaccines (preservative free) with the lowest aluminum content and most favorable side effect profiles available, timely completion of all school and camp forms, access to onsite generic and over the counter medications, pharmacy call-ins for refills and new medications, and in office phlebotomy services. The current fee is $500 for your first child and $250 for each additional child with a $1000 maximum per family. Please note that this rate is subject to change on renewal without prior notice. Current pricing can always be found on our website. There are no prorated rates or refunds. 

 

The list of accepted insurance plans below is subject to change; we try our best to have an accurate list but cannot guarantee network coverage because insurance companies may make changes without letting us know. Please be careful not to rely on your insurance company's website for network participation information. It is best to call our office to obtain a Tax ID number.  Then you can call the customer service department at your insurance and provide them with this Tax ID number to verify whether or not Dr. Bruckner Krasnow, Colvard or Zak is in network for your specific plan. 

 

At Westside Pediatrics it is our policy to keep your credit or debit card on file as a convenient method of payment for the portion of services that your insurance doesn’t cover, but for which you are liable. Your credit card information is kept confidential and secure. Payments to your card are processed only after the claim has been filed and processed by your insurer, and the insurance portion of the claim has paid and posted to the account.

 

Please be sure to notify us of any changes in your primary insurance policy and remember to register your newborn within thirty days after birth.

 

Westside Pediatrics will provide the necessary paperwork to assist you in your record keeping.
